Music

Next to their faith, there was nothing more important to lift the spirits of people in the old days. Music made them forget about the crops they lost due to a storm or drought, it made them forget about the wars that were going on or had. Here in Missouri the number one instrument was the human voice the only one that could come close to its popularity was the fiddle. It was second only to a persons voice.
