MyerstownTV -Episode2

As the frost of fall comes, we are preparing for next spring. Like busy little ants, Brandy and I are running around trying to get the things we can get done now, so that when its spring we can get busy with selling the vegies at the farmers markets.

Below is another Episode of MyerstownTV. In this episode I am tilling the ground of a new plot that was previously un-tilled to get it ready for the spring planting period.

My slogan is Sustainability, Culture, and the Pursuit of Grace. This episode is an example of Sustainability. While I am using a gas powered tiller now, in the future I will be using horse drawn power. However, since I am on 3.5 acres and I dont have a lot of tillable ground we are not going to start that now. We have plans to move to a larger plot of land and my desire is 100 acres but we'll see what happens when we get out of debt

Thanks for watching I hope you enjoyed.

There is nothing quite like this Ozarks soil. Rocks, rocks, rocks. Did you consider raised beds and bringing in dirt istead of plowing? Good luck with the tiller...hang in there.
